Student Advanced Level Requisition ID req36746 Working Title Faculty Assistant- Liu Lab Group Pay $16.00 Hourly Campus Health Sciences Center (HSC) - Albuquerque, NM Department Biochemistry Molecular Biology (801A) Employment Type Student Employment Student Type Student Employment Status Non-Exempt Background Check Required For Best Consideration Date Position Summary TheSchool of Medicine, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Department is seekinga self-motivated student employee to perform research in the Liu Research Lab. Theapplicant will ideally be studying in the BA/MD program or other closelyrelated academic program at the time the application is received. The duties andresponsibilities of this position include: Under faculty supervision, identify novel biomarkers and new mechanisms of obesity-associated metabolic dysfunction. Analyze and organize the existing human research data in collaboration with other lab members and collaborators. Conduct studies to validate the differentially expressed circulating proteins. Draft manuscript for the related study. Thisposition is expected to end on August 7, 2026. The qualified candidate will be expected to work 40 hours per week andcomplete the necessary laboratory safety trainings. Dependability is important to assist facultywith research, this individual should be punctual, have good time managementskills, be reliable and have reliable transportation. Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
