Job Description

The Chemistry Department is seeking a qualified Assistant Professor of Chemistry committed to excellent teaching, student mentorship, and meaningful service within the Department of Physical and Life Sciences.
Teaching Responsibilities:
The primary role involves teaching general and organic chemistry lectures and labs at the associate and baccalaureate levels. Depending on expertise, the faculty member may also teach upper-level courses in areas such as analytical, environmental, instrumental, or organic chemistry, as well as classes emphasizing laboratory techniques and research methods.
Student Mentorship:
The position includes guiding students through professional internships, undergraduate research projects, and other hands-on learning experiences that support their academic and career development.
Departmental Contributions:
Additional responsibilities include student advisement, recruitment, curriculum and course development, and active participation in department and college service to help strengthen programs and foster a collaborative academic environment.
