Periodically, adjunct teaching positions become available in Farmingdale's programs inCriminal Justice:
Law Enforcement Technology (LET) andCriminal Justice:
Police Courts and Corrections (PCC). These Bachelor of Science degree programs are theoretical and technical programs that prepare students for careers in law enforcement on the local, state, and federal levels. The LET program blends coursework in computers, forensic science, crime prevention, technology and law to provide students with the necessary skills to control crime as well as to conduct investigations of crimes committed on a computer or at a crime scene. The PCC program blends coursework in policing, courts and corrections to provide students with the necessary skills to pursue careers in various disciplines within criminal justice. This current posting is for individuals with education and experience in Corrections in order to teach courses in Corrections and Reentry, Probation and Parole, and/or Policy and Program Evaluation. The applicant should have specific knowledge about corrections from an administrative perspective, including the development and implementation of policy to shape the criminal justice system. If you have professional and/or academic experience in our needed areas (as described above and provided below in the requirements), please submit your CV if you would be interested in joining our faculty. A minimum of a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field. Candidates with Master's Degrees in other disciplines will be considered if they can demonstrate education, experience and/or scholarship in corrections. Administrative experience is preferred.Additional Information:
