- Description
- Department Overview
- The Department of Radiation Oncology at URMC is a leader in clinical care, research, and education, operating eight treatment sites and treating approximately 3,000 new radiation cases annually.
- Position Description
- The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) is currently seeking multiple outstanding
- MD (or Equivalent) Radiation Oncologists
- for full‑time faculty positions at the
- Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
- level. These positions are for full-time, non-tenure accruing positions. The positions are primarily focused on
- clinical care and clinical trial enrollment
- , with opportunities to participate in education, quality improvement, collaborative clinical research, and/or leadership within the Wilmot Cancer Institute or Department of Radiation Oncology as appropriate.
- Responsibilities
- + Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered radiation oncology care, including consultation, treatment planning, on‑treatment management, and follow‑up.
- Qualifications
Required:
- + MD or MD/PhD degree. + Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology. + Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of New York. + Demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical care and patient communication. + Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. + A post-offer health assessment and criminal background check.
Preferred:
- + Experience or interest in a specific disease‑site focus (e.g., head and neck, CNS, thoracic, GI, GU, breast, lymphoma). + Prior involvement in clinical trials, clinical research, or quality improvement. + Experience teaching or mentoring trainees. + Interest in program development or leadership roles.
