Job Summary Malone University seeks an Assistant Professor of Sport Management to be the corefaculty member of the Sport Management program, which is housed in the Division of Business and Technologies. The division currently holds10 majors and 13 minors. Individuals with expertise in Sport Management are encouraged to apply. IV. Essential Duties andResponsibilities Essential duties, tasks and responsibilities: (The following duties are not to be considered a complete list ofduties and responsibilities assigned to this position.) The required teaching load is 24 credits per academic year. Faculty are encouraged to engage in experiential learning techniques inside and outside of the classroom. Designing/developingcurriculum in a way that stimulates student's minds and enhances their capacity to learn. Teach courses in the Sport Managementprogram and other related courses at the undergraduate level. Areas may include Business Management, Business Administration, Economics,and/or Marketing. Additional teaching assignments will be based on the area of expertise of the chosen candidate. Advising and mentoring undergraduate students. Cultivate and develop external relationships that facilitate opportunities forguest speaking, internships, post graduate work, and scholarships. Participate in professional associations that correlate withSport Management. Engage in scholarship and community service Serve on departmental & institutional committees University service is required appropriate to academic rank Supervising undergraduate research. Secure externalfunding for research and training projects, when applicable. V. Education and Experience Preferred Qualifications:

A master's degree in Sport Management or asubfield and a minimum of three (3) years full-time equivalent of tested experience in the discipline; or A master's degree in anydiscipline and a nationally-recognized credential (certification, license, etc.) for Sport Management and a minimum of three (3) yearsfull-time equivalent of tested experience in the discipline.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degreein Sport Management or subfield and a minimum of three (3) years full-time equivalent of tested experience in the discipline.
