Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach media and communication courses starting August 2026.

Job Description:

The Department of Media, Journalism & Film prepares students to live and work in a complex media environment, offering majors in Film Studies, Journalism, Media & Communication, and Strategic Communication. The primary responsibility for the hire will be teaching multiple sections of Media, Representation, and Society, a requirement of our Media & Communication major. Candidates should also be able to teach in one or more of the following areas: audience studies, media and cultural studies, qualitative research methods, or political economy of media.

Ph.D. in Media Studies, Communication, or related field by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; ABD or Master's degree in Media Studies, Communication, or related field by date of appointment for appointment as Instructor.
