Position Summary The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences (SPHR) at Portland State University is seeking well-qualified applicants for a non-tenure track position at the Assistant Clinical Professor level, beginning September 16, 2026. This core SPHR faculty member will provide academic and clinical instruction primarily in the area of adult medical speech-language pathology. This is a 1.0 FTE 9-month position with full benefits. The program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA). SPHR graduate and undergraduate students meet pre-professional requirements as required by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. This appointment is for individuals who are licensed and certified professionals or practitioners recognized in the field of adult medical speech-language pathology. Applicants must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and either hold or be eligible for Oregon state licensure.
