Asst Professor Ortho Surg - 26001944 Pittsburgh, PA 3 DAYS AGO 22577428 Summary Pittsburgh, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 5 Years Experience Post-secondary academic degree, Associate degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Assistant Professor Department of Orthopaedic Surgery University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting full-time faculty members at the Assistant Professor level in the appointment (non-tenure) stream. The qualified applicant will be actively involved in patient care; medical student, resident, and fellow teaching; and orthopaedic research as determined by the Chair and associated division chief. Qualified applicants seeking clinical opportunities may find recruitment in the following orthopedic subspecialty programs:
Adult Reconstruction Foot and Ankle Surgery General Orthopaedics Hand and Upper Extremity Pediatric Orthopaedics Podiatry Primary Care Sports Medicine Spine Surgery Sports Medicine Trauma Qualifications:
A medical degree from an accredited medical school; Completion of an accredited orthopedic residency training program; Completion of an accredited trauma fellowship program; Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; Board-eligible or Board-certification in orthopedic surgery. Qualified physician applicants must meet the minimum position credentials for the orthopaedic specialty to provide clinical service. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest and ability in clinical care and teaching, and possess strong clinical, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills. A record of scholarly publications and presentations, along with evidence of interest in and involvement in research, is expected.
