Job Description

Lecturer or Teaching Assistant Professor of Mathematics (non-tenure track) Lander University The Department of Mathematics at Lander University invites applications for up to two full-time, non-tenure track positions at the rank of Lecturer or Teaching Assistant Professor, beginning August 2026.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must hold at least a master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline. Applicants who hold a Ph.D. may be considered for appointment at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong record of effective teaching, particularly with diverse student populations and varying levels of academic preparedness.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach general education and introductory mathematics courses, with a standard teaching load of 30 credit hours per academic year. In addition to teaching, all faculty members are expected to contribute service to the department, college, and university, and any other duties as assigned.
