Assistant/Associate/Professor of Physiology, CVM
Department CVM Academic Affairs
Position Category Faculty
Job Description The Assistant/Associate/Professor of Physiology faculty member shall have the primary responsibility of teaching physiology in CVM programs and shall be held accountable for the teaching obligations as it contributes to the attainment of the mission of the University
Required Qualifications Veterinary Medical degree or PhD
Preferred Qualifications M.S. in physiology and/or specialty board certification are highly desirable

Job Duty
Job Duty Design and deliver the didactic course(s) in physiology appropriate for the veterinary and graduate program curricula;
Job Duty contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of basic sciences didactic and laboratory sessions within the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM);
Job Duty develop an area of scholarship that enhances teaching and generates new knowledge;
Job Duty promote by precept and example a general atmosphere within the CVM of respect for knowledge, thought and inquiry;
Job Duty maintain intellectual integrity and to strive for academic excellence in his/her teaching;
Job Duty carry out lecture, seminar, small group discussion and/or clinical assignments and responsibilities effectively;
Job Duty prepare examination questions as well as grade a course or portion of course;
Job Duty meet classes according to published schedule;
Job Duty commit to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity;
Job Duty provide service by attending scheduled faculty meetings and by serving on appointed and/or elected committees as required;
Job Duty complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of CVM and University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites;
Job Duty promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
Job Duty promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students; and
Job Duty perform other duties as assigned.
