Job Description

Description The Texas A&M Rangel School of Pharmacy invites nominations and applications for two faculty openings in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, one in Kingsville and the other in College Station, in the areas of biomedical/pharmaceutical sciences, or related areas. These are full-time 11-month, tenure-track/tenure review upon hire positions, with a earliest possible start date of Spring 2024. The position type (Tenure Track or Tenure Review Upon Hire), faculty rank (Assistant/Associate or Full Professor) as well as salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities would include:
1. making contributions to research in the department related to one or multiple broader areas of biomedical, pharmaceutical, or related areas, as well as developing and maintaining a sustainable and extramurally-funded research program, 2. teaching/assisting in the delivery of the School's PharmD and/or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences programs, 3. mentoring and advising of students and postdocs, and 4. providing service within and outside the school, and contributing to establishing a positive, supportive and collaborative environment. Current research in the department with potential for collaboration include: drug delivery and formulations, cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, infectious disease, as well as pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacoeconomics. There are ample opportunities to engage in collaborative research, conduct applied and contract research, and contribute to enhancing the research portfolio as well as the teaching and service mission of the School and Texas A&M University. The successful candidates will be provided with a competitive start-up package.
