Job Description

Description The Department of Periodontics at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time, 100% FTE, tenure track faculty position, with appointment beginning October 1, 2026. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. This position calls for an academic periodontist with experience in the conception, design, implementation, execution, and funding of clinical research studies in periodontics and implant surgery and evidence of research mentoring of graduate students. This faculty member will participate in teaching at all levels, including predoctoral education, advanced education specialty programs where applicable while being committed to the development of the department through clinical and translational research and contribute to areas of service that support the mission of the department, school and institution. The successful candidate is expected to teach in various courses on periodontics, implant surgery, and research, and other clinical related didactic courses. The candidate is also expected to mentor graduate students in their master's degree related research.
