Job Description:
The Department of Economics and Finance at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics. Preferred fields are Money and Banking and Political Economy, though candidates in all fields are encouraged to apply. The position is affiliated with the Center for Free Enterprise, and the successful candidate will contribute to the Center's mission of advancing economic literacy at UTEP and across the El Paso community through research, teaching, and outreach. The expected start date is Fall 2026 with a teaching load of three courses per semester. This is a one-year appointment. Salary and benefits are AACSB competitive. Hiring decisions are subject to final budgetary approval.
Job Requirements:
Successful candidates must be able to provide evidence of effective teaching, such as teaching evaluations, sample syllabi, or a teaching portfolio. A Ph.D. in Economics must be completed prior to the start date. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
