NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST FACULTY POSITION
Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer's & Neurodegenerative Diseases The Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer's & Neurodegenerative Diseases, at the Long School of Medicine, UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is seeking a full-time clinical neuropsychologist to provide exceptional clinical care, undertake innovative independent or collaborative research, provide supervision for the neuropsychology fellowship, and contribute to the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. This faculty position is fully funded by the Biggs Institute with opportunity to support our NIA-designated South Texas Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. Dedicated research time will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications; faculty at the Biggs typically participate in some of the many ongoing research projects and all get some protected time for research, education scholarship, and/or leadership development, at least 20% but negotiable based on interest. Protected time can be up to 75% for candidates who are already research funded with K, R or equivalent grants. We are seeking an excellent candidate to grow our clinical and research footprint by providing care to outpatients through our subspeciality multidisciplinary clinics in San Antonio. Patients present with a wide variety of neurological and/or medical conditions and may enroll in a large number of observational studies and clinical, interventional trials that are ongoing. We encourage applications from candidates with a special interest in non-pharmacological interventions for brain health and advanced clinical expertise in neurodegenerative diseases. The candidate will join a vibrant team of clinical and research scientists, who are conducting cutting-edge research within a collegial atmosphere. Opportunities exist to participate in local, national, and international research consortiums. Big-data and team-based approaches are integral with opportunities to collaborate with neurologists, geriatricians, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, geneticists, and neuroradiologists. The Biggs has a robust biobank and brain bank, multiple 3T MRI, in-house cyclotron for collaborative PET studies, and also imaging analysis-ready pipelines and computational resources. Several funding mechanisms for pilot grants are available through the UTHSA Long School of Medicine and the South Texas Alzheimer's Disease Research Center to support junior faculty in developing new projects. There is a strong, supportive, clinical research infrastructure in place. Minimum requirements are a doctoral degree in psychology and completion of an internship and post-doctoral training in neuropsychology. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Texas and be board-certified or board-eligible (ABPP-CN). Front-loaded Paid Time Off:
128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.

8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.
Paid Family Leave:
Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment.
