Teaching Staff Assistant Lecturer in the School of Humanities (History) (Ref.: 536328) (to commence in August 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal) Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in History. Preference will be given to those with experience in teaching and programme development on the histories of Hong Kong and of East Asia at the undergraduate and the postgraduate levels. The appointee will be responsible for teaching and academic advising at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for the Department of History, including the Master of Arts in the field of Hong Kong History programme. Information about the Department can be obtained at https://history.hku.hk/ . A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
