Salary:
KRW 50,000,000
  • 70,000,000 annually, before tax (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
Exceptional candidates may be considered for a higher salary. About the Department The Department of Hospitality Management at Woosong University offers innovative, fully English-taught programs in hospitality management. The department emphasizes experiential learning, international exposure, and global perspectives. Students gain foundational knowledge and practical skills through rigorous coursework, internships, and study abroad opportunities, preparing them for successful careers in the global hospitality industry.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will:
Teach 15 credit hours per semester . Develop and update course materials to ensure academic rigor and industry relevance. Provide academic advising, career guidance, and mentorship to students. Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation processes. Contribute to departmental and university committees, academic events, and student organizations. Engage in service activities that support the mission of the department and university. Other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or Tourism Management. At least 3 years of relevant industry experience with a Ph.D. OR a minimum of 10 years of industry experience with a Master's degree. Demonstrated proficiency in English for teaching and academic purposes. Preferred Qualifications Practical hotel management experience in roles such as General Manager, Deputy General Manager, or Director Teaching Areas (may include) Hospitality Human Resource Management Tourism Management Service Marketing Customer Service Management Bar Management Food and Beverage Service Food & Beverage Cost Control and Quality Management Hospitality Computer Application Managing Front Office Operations Managing Housekeeping Operations MICE Management Spa and wellness management Cruise and Airline Services Hospitality Financial Management Hospitality Accounting Revenue Management (Final course assignments will be determined by departmental needs.)
Compensation and Benefits Housing:
Faculty housing may be provided, subject to availability.
Relocation Support:
Round-trip economy class airfare will be reimbursed for faculty hired from outside the
Republic of Korea Settlement Allowance:
A settlement allowance of
KRW 100,000
per day will be provided for early arrival prior to the commencement date, for up to fifteen (15) days.
Vacation:
Twenty (20) paid working days of annual leave per year.
Insurance & Pension:
Enrollment in the Korean National Health Insurance and the Private School Teachers' Pension.
Research Funding:
