Job Description

Position Summary Northwest University is seeking a full-time Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor in the School of Business to serve as a faculty member supporting both undergraduate and graduate programs. This 9-month position focuses on high-quality instruction, curriculum development, and student engagement. The faculty member will teach courses aligned with their area of expertise in business, while contributing to student learning, professional development, and academic success. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor will provide administrative support for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) programs, including assistance with program coordination, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts. The role requires collaboration with faculty, staff, and leadership to ensure effective program delivery and alignment with institutional goals Candidates must demonstrate a meaningful commitment to Jesus Christ, the Church, and the gospel, with a winsome and personally engaged faith. In addition, candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student mentorship, and the mission of Northwest University, along with the ability to effectively engage learners in both undergraduate and graduate business programs. Qualifications Earned graduate degree (Ph.D., DBA, or relevant doctorate) in business or a related discipline (e.g., management, leadership, finance, marketing, accounting). Possesses a deep, personal commitment to Jesus Christ and to the Spirit-filled life and demonstrates the integration of faith and learning within business education. Demonstrates successful teaching experience at the university level, preferably in business courses. Committed to ongoing research, scholarship, or professional practice in business and/or related fields. Cultivates and sustains positive, collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, and the broader Northwest University community. Demonstrates a commitment to developing students' academic and professional skills through advising, coaching, modeling, and direct instruction. Compensation $58,378 - $71,519: Dependent on education and experience. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and aligned with the university's administrative faculty salary scale. Northwest University's doctoral program in counseling psychology is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). The University is approved by the Federal and State Governments for student aid programs and for the training of international students. Selected programs of study are approved by a Washington State Approving Agency for enrollment of those eligible for benefits under Title 38 and Title 10, U.S. Code and by Washington State for training in Vocational Rehabilitation. It is listed in the current bulletin, "Accredited Higher Education Institutions," published by the U.S. Office of Education.
