Job Summary Provide teaching for Intro to Human Communication. Essential Functions Supervises and instructs a diverse population of students in an online classroom and/or lab setting. Develops written syllabi/course outlines and course materials. Evaluates knowledge of subject matter taught and monitors students records, scholastic records; prepares and grades exams. Minimum Qualifications The Academic Teaching Fields require the following from an accredited college or university: A master's degree in the teaching field, or a master's in any teaching field with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field of study: Communication, Speech, Speech Communication, Communication Studies, Interpersonal Communication, Mass Communication, Communication Education, Public Address, Applied Communication, Health Communication, International Communication, Intercultural Communication, Organizational Communication, Political Communication, Performance Studies, Rhetorical Criticism, Communication Theory Desired Qualifications At least one (1) year of online teaching experience. Canvas Learning Management System experience preferred. Special Working Conditions May be required to stand for entire class, lift up to 50 pounds.
