Job Overview Mentor & Panelist Opportunity BlueRock Ventures Mentor & Panelist Michigan (In-person and Virtual Opportunities Available) 1-4 Hours Per Program Session Volunteer Opportunity (Recognition and Networking Benefits Provided) About BlueRock Ventures BlueRock Ventures is a college and career leadership immersion organization designed to help high school students explore college life, leadership development, career pathways, and professional opportunities throughout Michigan. Through residential campus experiences, industry exposure, mentorship, and leadership development, BlueRock connects students to the people, organizations, and opportunities shaping Michigan's future. BlueRock Ventures is seekiing professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, public servants, and community leaders to serve as Mentors and Panelists for our Summer College & Career Immersion Programs. Mentors and Panelists will help inspire, educate, and guide high school students by sharing their personal and professional journeys while providing insight into careers, leadership, higher education, and workforce opportunites. Areas of Interest We are actively seeking professionals from: Business Owners Entrepreneurs Corporate Leaders Finance Professionals Marketing Professionals Sales Professionals Public Leadership & Communications Attorneys Public Officials Legislative Staff Journalists Public Relations Professionals Political Professionals Community Leaders Sports Communications Professionals STEM, Innovation & Technology Engineers Software Developers Healthcare Professionals Researchers Technology Leaders Startup Founders Innovation Ecosystem Leaders Responsibilities Mentors and Panelists may: Participate in career pathway panels Share personal career experiences Facilitate small-group discussions Answer student questions Participate in networking lunches Lead workshops or breakout sessions Provide professional and career advice Inspire students to pursue higher education and leadership opportunities Ideal Qualifications Candidates should possess: Professional experience within their field Strong communication skills A passion for mentoring young people A willingness to share lessons learned from their personal and professional journey Interest in supporting student success and leadership development No prior mentoring experience is required.
