Description SUMMARY:
The Ideal candidate will have experience teaching multiple courses in computer information science. The Computer Information Science program at South Suburban College consists of courses in IT Essentials A+ Prep, Network+ Certification Prep, Security+ Prep, Cloud Computing, and Virtualized Computing. The ideal candidate will be A+ and Network + certified and contribute to the Computer Information Science program. Experience in teaching diverse students at various levels of college preparedness is desirable. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study. 2 years of previous teaching experience in higher education, community college preferred Experience with the use of instructional technology Commitment to teaching a student body diverse in ability, age, ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation. Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation. Supplemental Information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields. Experience in the delivery of in-person instruction. College-level teaching experience in Technology
STATUS/SALARY
This is a part-time faculty position with a salary to be determined by placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule
