The Professor of Practice in Information Technology will be required to teach coursework in the interdisciplinary master's program in Cyber Technology and contribute to the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The Cyber Technology program is an online master's degree where students may choose from interdisciplinary areas of Leadership, Cybersecurity, Data and Artificial Intelligence and Tech Fundamentals. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach in the areas of Information Technology (Technology Leadership and IT Service Management, Cybersecurity, Cloud Systems, Networking, IT Ethics, System Administration, Application Development, Data and Artificial Intelligence, Product and Program Support). The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of the Information Technology program in curriculum development and oversight of the Information Technology program.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
: Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field Knowledge and experience in teaching technology courses Teaching experience in post-secondary institutions Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in information technology Experience in developing and working with community partners
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY
Ability to develop and deliver creative, innovation and rigorous higher education programs Ability to develop and maintain industry relationships that lead to internship and job opportunities for students and graduates Ability to provide quality academic advisement to working adult students. Ability to work well with individuals of various ages and backgrounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in an information technology-related field At least 5 years of experience teaching in higher education Experience with online teaching Industry/Government Background in Information Technology Experience with learning management systems, Canvas preferred
