Description :
The Information Science Technology Department at the University of Houston offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate-level courses and occasionally has openings for part-time Lecturers. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply to be considered for these temporary part-time positions. Please indicate the courses that you are interested in teaching. Lecturer appointments are made on a semester basis. The following programs in the Information Science Technology Department have openings for Lecturer positions: 1. Computer Information Systems 2. Digital Media 3. Organizational Leadership and Supervision 4. Information Systems Security Qualifications The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a Master's degree (for teaching undergraduate courses) or PhD Degree (for teaching graduate courses) with experience in any of the following disciplines: Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Leadership and Management with a focus in Technology Industry, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Project Management, User Interface / User Experience (UX/UI), Digital Media, Media Arts, Digital Arts, Digital Marketing, AR(Augment Reality) or VR (Virtual Reality), or Game Design. Candidates who are interested in working for our Computer Information Systems or Information System Security courses, should ideally know programming languages in C++, C#, Python. Candidates interested in our Digital Media courses, knowing Programming HTML is a plus. Required Attachments by Candidate Curriculum Vitae, Cover Letter/Letter of Application Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon the selection of the final candidate.
