JUS 101U
Introduction to Criminal Justice beginning Fall 2026. The course is delivered in a traditional in-person format at the Center for Technology, Innovation, and Enterprise on Madison Avenue in Covington on Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30a - 10:45a and introduces students to the criminal justice system, its components, functions, and contemporary issues.
Job Duties:
Facilitate engaging in-person instruction and student learning in the classroom Prepare and deliver course content consistent with established student learning outcomes Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success Provide timely communication, grading, and feedback to students Maintain accurate attendance and academic records Utilize the college learning management system to support instruction and communicate with students Participate in required college and division processes related to instruction and assessment Collaborate with program faculty and administration as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field; OR Master's degree in any field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice; OR Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience in higher education Previous experience in a community college setting Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (such as Blackboard, Canvas, etc.) Significant professional experience in the criminal justice field Strong dedication to enhancing student learning and achievement Experience in academic advising and supporting student success Ability to adapt to new technologies and teaching methods is highly valued Employee Rights - Employee Polygraph Protection Act Equal Opportunity Employer - The Kentucky Community and Technical College System is an equal educational and employment opportunity institution.
