General Statement of Duties:
Roxbury Community College seeks a dynamic and experienced adjunct Criminal Justice faculty member to teach college-level courses in accordance with description published in Roxbury Community College catalog. Responsibilities include giving lectures and assignments.
Responsibilities:
Provide instruction of his/her assigned course(s) Responsible for creating a classroom environment which fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development. Responsible for the creation and revision of daily lesson plans. Responsible for accurate record keeping of student attendance and academic progress. Correct and return quizzes, tests and lab assignments in a timely manner to students. Utilize instructional and audiovisual aids, and all available resources. Follow a syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines. Meets with and advise students before and after class or by appointment. Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress. Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Requirements:
? Master's degree in criminal justice or a closely related field. ? Experience teaching all college levels of criminal justice courses. ? Ability to teach on campus or online. ? Proficiency in Google Suite and Office 365, as well as experience with learning management systems such as Canvas or similar platforms. Experience working with students from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds who possess wide ranges of academic abilities and interests. Familiarity with Jenzabar or similar online learning applications. Teaching Experience at a Community College. Demonstrated ability to provide diverse teaching methods to different learning styles. Experience with Online teaching and OER.

The Adjunct Faculty salary range is determined in accordance with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement.
