Position Category Adjunct Job Description The instructional faculty member shall have the primary responsibilities of teaching Criminal Justice / Criminology courses at the Harrogate, Tennessee campus or online Required Qualifications Masters degree in Criminal Justice / Criminology; teaching experience Preferred Qualifications Terminal Degree in Criminal Justice / Criminology. Evidence of effective teaching and the ability to teach statistics for criminology/criminal justice Physical Demands Campus Harrogate Job Duty Job Duty Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large: Job Duty promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students Job Duty comply with the university Faculty/Staff Policy Manual; Job Duty submit textbook requests; Job Duty comply with announced requirements; Job Duty appropriately align course syllabi goals and objectives to academic major program goals and student outcomes for each course taught; Job Duty develop a current syllabus for each assigned class and distribute a course syllabus to each student; Job Duty submit a current copy of each syllabus to the department chair by a predetermined deadline; Job Duty evaluate enrolled students and submit grades to the Registrar by a predetermined deadline; Job Duty assure completion of the student course evaluation instrument for the semester as requested; Job Duty participate in the faculty evaluation process and use the results to improve teaching and strengthen the major; Job Duty perform other duties as assigned within the scope of current position.
