Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses and engaging in service to the department, university and discipline. Required Qualifications An MA in Criminology, Criminal Justice or related field. A JD will be considered. Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in criminology and criminal justice. Practical experience working in criminal or juvenile justice or in a related field. Special Conditions for Eligibility Department Information The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice is housed within the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Arlington. The Department offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and minors in Law and Legal Studies (LLS) and Forensic Applications of Science and Technology (FAST). At the graduate level, the department offers two Master of Arts (MA) degrees. The department supports approximately 700 student majors with active student organizations including Alpha Phi Sigma, Society for Criminal Justice Students, and Forensic Science Students. The department strives to create an academic environment that promotes the intellectual and professional development of faculty.
