Job Description
SALARY:
$ 15.19 per hour, not to exceed 19 hours per week. Part-time positions are posted based on the possible availability of a future assignment which are sporadic and may not occur. Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and instructional needs of the College.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Instructional Development. Assists faculty members in creating discipline-related instructional materials, using the software and hardware selected. Interacts with ITS personnel and faculty members to schedule, conduct, evaluate, and remediate faculty members in their use of software and hardware. Interacts with ITS personnel to ensure that student performance information is captured in the course management system. Maintains familiarity with Canvas and other instructional software products as they relate to instructional technology and/or mediation of traditional course offerings. Interacts with ITS personnel in maintaining the Canvas system.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Training. Employee provides training on use of instructional software and hardware to faculty and student. Provides initial and upgrade training to faculty members desiring to mediate their courses using Canvas or other instructional software products. Provides training to faculty members desiring to deliver courses online and to those desiring to use other software to build course segments. Works with students who are having difficulties in accessing their coursework or communicating with their instructors in online/hybrid and/or mediated courses.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

Adheres to all College and System policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Operations. Employee performs duties that aid in the effective and efficient operation of the program and department. Assists in daily operation of ITS to include answering telephones, creating help tickets, assigning help requests, and ensuring closure of help tickets. Provides assistance to administrators, faculty and staff members, and students with a variety of technology-related issues. Coordinates with ITS staff members in maintaining instructional technology and related equipment. Images, configures, and deploys computers and other instructional devices to support faculty, staff, and student needs. Decommissions outdated or non-functional devices in accordance with college policies, including proper data handling and disposal procedures. Maintains and updates ITS inventory systems to ensure accurate tracking of hardware, software, and instructional technology assets. Performs other duties as required. Six months experience in MS Office and a Learning Management Systems is required. Experience in customer service, technical support, or a helpdesk environment is preferred. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques is preferred. Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and the instructional needs of the College. Applicants must travel at their own expense for interviews that are conducted in person.
