Building and updating course content, maintaining CLDS websites, creating graphics, videos, and digital materials using tools such as Adobe, Canva, and Canvas, and recommending improvements to enhance instructional effectiveness. Also produces materials in industry-standard formats (e.g., MP4, PDF, JPEG) and assist with layout and design for handouts, ads, and reports. Additionally, the contractor may provide basic IT support to CLDS staff when not engaged in higher-priority tasks.
Responsibilities/daily tasks:
- Aid and provide government guidance on how to design a highly effective course within the approved LMS. Build content provided by the Government for the approved LMS and CLDS websites.
- Design and maintain CLDS websites following Government guidance and direction.
- Monitor, verify and update site content of the CLDS websites as directed.
- Provide, as required, status and/or summary reports on current and projected projects.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend solutions to correct deficiencies and/or enhance existing learning content (electronic courses, videos, documents, websites, graphics, and interactive games) and related supportive material offered by CLDS, as well as any/all related CLDS websites.
- Using approved software (e.g., Adobe, Canva, Canvas), build, maintain, and deliver graphics and informational content for websites and apps.
- Ensure Ed Tech employee(s) have software capable of meeting professional-looking project requirements as well as computer/laptop to run software (either already owned by employee or provided by contractor).
Examples of tasks involved (but not all-inclusive) include editing, trimming, and crafting videos with music and audio; creating organization applications (APPS), logos, designs, and graphics; editing photos; creating layouts for flyers, brochures, guides, student materials for print and digital; access (with copyrights) to large resource of stock photos. End products must be provided in industry-standard formats usable by the government and its systems/webpages/LMS; examples include, but not limited, to
MP4, JPEG, PNG, PDF.
Recommend methodologies, resource requirements; develop and manage instructional media and methods tailored to CLDS courses.
- Assist in the development of the layout and production design for advertisements, handouts, and CLDS reports.
- Provide secondary IT assistance to CLDS faculty and staff as assigned by the IT Lead, if not engaged in higher priorities as listed above. This includes, but not limited to, basic technical assistance, troubleshooting, and soft/hardware assistance as assigned by the CLDS IT Lead.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years' experience learning program development for a variety of delivery methods. This must be documented in the resume.
- At least a minimum of one (1) year experience using online course creation software (e.g., 11 Sep 2025 Captivate) and video creation/editing software. This must be documented in the resume.
- Three (3) years' experience in working with multi-platform webpages, desktop and mobile application design, development, and maintenance. This must be documented in the resume.
- Must be able to pass a background check
