Immediately Job Description Works with administrators and classroom teachers in implementing quality literacy instruction successfully through the implementation of the Data Wise School Improvement process. The Instructional Facilitator is responsible for curriculum design, development, and implementation of the curriculum. They will also support teachers in the lesson planning process and will provide coaching. Additionally, the Instructional Facilitators will do demonstration lessons, deliver appropriate content related to staff development, and support teachers based on their needs. Master's Degree in Education from an accredited college or university preferred Master's degree with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction preferred Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for Literacy or Reading Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience at the elementary or secondary level with no unsatisfactory evaluations Demonstrated competency in teaching or leading Literacy curriculum and instruction Evidence of increased student achievement in literacy on state-mandated assessments Facilitates the work of the Data Wise School Improvement and Instructional Rounds process Facilitates teacher learning through co-planning of lessons, modeling, and coaching teachers using the gradual release model Facilitate the work of the Data Wise School Improvement journey and the school improvement plan Promotes differentiation of instruction and assessments, both formative and summative, based on individual student needs as identified through data Assists teachers in disaggregating and analyzing formative and summative data Assists in planning intervention instruction based on data analysis Facilitates integration of technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process Establishes and maintains open communication by providing feedback to the principal and teachers Facilitates Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Meets with grade-level teams and assists in the implementation of the literacy curriculum and plan Plans and presents professional development sessions for teachers on and off campus Participates in district-level coaching and content professional development Keeps abreast of current research and literacy trends Assists in the development of curriculum maps Assists in the selection of textbooks, books, equipment, and other instructional materials Other duties as assigned by the building level administrator and or the Systemic Improvement Teaching and Learning Officer as related to the job description The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 25 lbs.
