PTO, Federal Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Position Summary The Instructional Designer & Curriculum Developer - All Trades serves as the centralized content authority responsible for the design, development, standardization, and continuous improvement of all training curricula across Fabrication, Assembly, Logistics, and New Employee Onboarding workstreams. This role ensures consistent, high-quality, role-based training materials are available to support a workforce of 1,000+ manufacturing personnel operating across multiple shifts, trades, and skill levels. The position partners closely with all Training Operations Leads and SMEs to translate SOPs, safety protocols, and technical procedures into structured, engaging, and measurable training content. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Design & Development — Create, maintain, and continuously improve modular, role-based training curricula for all manufacturing trades including CNC operations, welding (robotic and manual), blast & paint, electrical assembly, mechanical/piping assembly, finish assembly, testing & validation, logistics/material handling, and QC inspection. Content Standardization — Establish and enforce training content standards across all functional workstreams to ensure consistency, repeatability, and quality of instruction regardless of trainer, shift, or location. Instructional Design Methodology — Apply adult learning principles and blended learning strategies including instructor-led training (ILT), hands-on labs/simulations, digital/LMS-based modules, assessments, and competency validation. Safety Training Content — Develop and maintain safety training curricula across all three tiers: Baseline General Safety (OSHA-10, GHS, PPE, emergency readiness), Functional Safety (machine guarding, electrical safety, NFPA 70E, forklift/crane awareness), and Role-Specific Certifications (Hot Work, LOTO, rigging, respiratory protection, working at heights, pressure testing). SOP-to-Training Translation — Partner with SMEs, Operations Managers, and Training Operations Leads to translate operational documentation (SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures) into structured, accessible training content. LMS Content Management — Build and manage all training content within the learning management system, including course structure, assessments, certification tracking, and version control. Validation & Quality Assurance — Conduct structured review cycles with SMEs to validate training content accuracy, completeness, and alignment; manage version-controlled documentation repositories. Training Effectiveness Analysis — Analyze training effectiveness data, assessment results, quality outcomes, and operational feedback to identify content gaps and drive curriculum improvements. Scalable Content Architecture — Design curricula with inherent modularity to support expansion into optional training domains (Warehousing, Facilities, Equipment Maintenance) as operations scale. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or training content creation within manufacturing, industrial, or technical trade environments Demonstrated portfolio of multi-trade training curricula (mechanical, electrical, fabrication, logistics, or similar) Strong command of instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, or equivalent) and adult learning theory Proficiency with LMS platforms (ToolingU, TPC, Cornerstone, or equivalent) and e-learning authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, or similar) Knowledge of OSHA safety training standards, NFPA 70E, LOTO, and industrial certification programs Experience developing competency-based assessments and skill progression frameworks Excellent technical writing, visual design, and content organization skills Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Industrial Technology, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
