POSITION TITLE
District Technology Integration Specialist
COMPENSATION
Salary based on Board Approved Certified Compensation Plan

Director of Educational Technology or designee
POSITION SUMMARY
The Technology Integration Specialist will provide instruction to students, Certified and Classified Staff on the operation of personal computers, peripherals, and software applications and how these are integrated into the adopted curriculum. This instruction is to include the emerging technologies which can implement Internet tools and resources (Web 2.0) and 21st Century Skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Train teachers on how to integrate technology into the classroom curriculum based on researched best practices in support of student learning Plan, facilitate and conduct staff development with technology district-wide Create learning resources for teachers, staff and students. These may include websites, tutorials, interactive programs and databases that support teachers in integrating technology Work closely with curriculum specialists to develop innovative technology solutions. Demonstrate respect for students and their potential Demonstrate ability to work with children, parents, and colleagues Coordinate, promote and facilitate opportunities that may exist at the local, state and national levels Support integration of technology at the classroom level as it relates to curriculum, instruction and assessment Maintain skills in computer software, including word processing, database, spreadsheet, webpage development, presentation, digital video and audio editing, and image processing Support district adopted software tools for classroom and administrative use including but not limited to; attendance applications, electronic grade book, Follett Library, and similar applications and tools Work with teachers to integrate instructional activities that reflect a variety of instructional techniques, promote positive interaction among students, and provide for appropriate practice of activities and skills focusing upon the desired learning outcomes Participate in professional growth activities to enhance professional qualifications Perform other such duties as required and/or assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Master's degree in Education (Preferred) Evidence of 3 Years of successful teaching or comparable training and development experience Experience and background in technology curriculum integration Working knowledge of technology hardware and software Ability to work with diverse groups Demonstrated organization and management abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to perform the following physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation: critical sensory requirements include general vision, corrected to 20/20, hear or listen in the normal range (corrected) and speak and give directions clearly. Able to walk, sit, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, lift (exerting force up to 50 pounds), carry, push, or pull.
REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Valid State of Arizona teaching certificate Required - Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Valid Arizona Driver's License
