Job Description:
The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the creation and implementation of curriculum at ETHOS Therapeutics. This will include the creation and distribution of the curriculum to the team. Additionally supporting the staff through weekly observation, training, reciprocal feedback and direct oversight. See Roles and Responsibilities for further.
Roles & Responsibilities/Requirements:
  • Develop the weekly curriculum for the ETHOS Day Program. This may include the creation of new materials, gather pre-created materials or modify pre-existing materials to fit the needs of our clients.
  • Ensure timely distribution of curriculum and necessary curriculum materials. o Curriculum should be distributed a month and a half in advance to Field Supervisors for them to provide locations. All locations should be decided upon within a week. o Distribute completed curriculum, with locations, to all staff at least a month in advance.
  • Ensure that curriculum is created and uploaded at least a month in advance.
  • Upload and appropriate naming of curriculum files to the necessary company drive.
  • Provides supplemental support to executive, administrative and managerial staff and take over the roles and responsibilities as assigned or delegated.
  • Communicating with client guardians/caregivers and other support staff from other agencies if there are questions related to curriculum.
  • Ensuring curriculum meets program and curriculum requirements as defined by Title 17 § 56742.
  • Collaborating with other ETHOS staff to ensure curriculum is appropriately meeting client needs.
  • Weekly observations with each department (i.e. San Fernando Valley/Antelope Valley) to provide training, receive feedback and ensure quality implementation of curriculum.
  • Attend regional monthly in-services/training as needed.
  • Responsible for providing feedback to the Regional Program Manager and Regional Clinical Manager regarding staff performance as related to the implementation of curriculum.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of curriculum concerns, issues or discrepancies within the region to the Regional Clinical Manager and Regional Program Manager.
  • Assist Field Supervisors when needing supplemental support as related to curriculum implementation.
  • Cover any staff absences as needed or directed by a supervisor, including but not limited to: Clinical/Field Supervisors and Integration Specialists (1:1).
  • Keep executive staff, managerial staff and fellow supervisors informed of daily operation and any pertinent information.
  • Assisting as needed with client crises and emergencies. (e.g. accompanying the individual to the hospital, waiting for a delayed parent/caregiver pickup, etc.) Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a DOJ, FBI and driving history background check (must be free from any misdemeanor or felony convictions and any serious/frequent traffic violations)
  • Ability to follow mandated reporting requirements.
  • Negative TB Test
  • Ability to drive company vehicles including Mercedes Benz Sprinter vans and similar vehicles that may include wheelchair vehicles and other large transportation vehicles.
  • The ability to work outside in possible heat, cold, rain and other weather conditions or engage in physical activities when accompanying or covering staff.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft word and other computer programs needed to create curriculum.
  • Meet regional center vendor requirements: no criminal or serious traffic violations, pass a TB test, receive and abide by CPR/1st aid, HIPAA, Bloodborne pathogens, crises prevention and mandated reporting trainings. Preferred Qualifications
  • BCBA, LCSW, LMFT, SLP, OT, PT, and/or a master's degree, or greater, in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience of curriculum creation and development.
  • 2+ years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Formal training and knowledge of developmental disabilities and current and acceptable practices.
  • Formal training and knowledge of mental health and current and acceptable practices.
  • Experience providing rehabilitation services to individuals who were previously incarcerated. Hours
