Job Description

The Education and Tribal Youth Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative, program coordination, and outreach functions to support academic programs, youth development initiatives, student retention, strategic planning, and program growth. This role is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and coordinating programs and outreach activities that enhance educational experiences and support school-age tribal members and Native community youth. The Coordinator must be able to organize and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced and constantly changing work environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. The position requires strong multitasking abilities, exceptional interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, professionalism, and effective problem-solving capabilities. Responsibilities include assisting Program Directors and faculty in improving program-related operating processes, procedures, and protocols to maintain academic standards, operational efficiencies, and quality services. The Coordinator will demonstrate professional behavior while working with students, tribal members, in-house programs, outside agencies, schools, and other Native organizations. This position also involves handling sensitive information with a high degree of tact, discretion, and judgment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enthusiastic, community-driven, and committed to supporting Native community members while maintaining a positive attitude and strong team-oriented approach.
Qualifications:
Valid California Driver's license required. Must be a self-motivated individual with good planning and organization skills. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and randomized drug testing. Background Investigation High School Diploma written communication and presentation skills. Experience preparing simplified reports and questionnaires. Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Good in relationship building, collaboration and public speaking. Experience in program development and implementation
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
