Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and visionary Director of Academics to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our educational programs. In this pivotal role, you will oversee curriculum design, instructional strategies, and learning technology integration to ensure a high-quality academic experience. Duties Lead the strategic planning and execution of curriculum development aligned with organizational goals and industry standards. Oversee the design and delivery of engaging instructional content using advanced learning technology tools such as LMS platforms, Blackboard, and Adobe Captivate. Manage the creation of training materials, ensuring they meet SCORM compliance and incorporate best practices in instructional design using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop innovative adult education programs that enhance learner engagement and retention. Supervise the training & development team to ensure high-quality content development, classroom instruction, and online course delivery. Implement project management methodologies to coordinate multiple initiatives efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through data analysis and learner feedback, continuously refining content for maximum impact. Foster a culture of professional growth by providing coaching on teaching techniques, presentation skills, and learning technology tools. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in instructional design, LMS advancements, and learning technology. Experience Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or related roles within adult education or higher education settings. Demonstrated expertise in project management principles applied to educational initiatives. Strong background in utilizing LMS platforms such as Blackboard or similar systems for course delivery and content management. Hands-on experience with SCORM-compliant content creation tools like Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline. Knowledge of ADDIE methodology for designing effective training programs from analysis through evaluation phases. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences. Classroom experience combined with proficiency in online teaching methods enhances your ability to develop engaging learning experiences. Familiarity with adult education principles, classroom management techniques, and presentation skills are highly desirable.
