Curriculum Support Specialist

05/13/2026 Good Shepherd Catholic School, in Kendall (Miami Dade County), Florida, is hiring a full-time Curriculum Support Specialist. This role is responsible for developing, articulating, communicating, and implementing a shared vision that supports Good Shepherd Catholic School. The Curriculum Specialist performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor the success of all students in the learning environment. Align the curriculum, instruction, and assessment process to promote effective student performance. Use a variety of benchmarks, learning, and expectations feedback measures to ensure accountability for all participants engaged in the educational process. Together with the administration and teachers, make purchasing decisions concerning all curriculum materials for PK-8th grade in all subject areas. Promote a positive learning culture; provide an effective instructional program; and apply best practices to student learning, especially in reading and other foundational skills. Provide instructional leadership for the teaching of literacy skills including Literacy First coordinator. Assessment preparation and data entry. Responsible for various Literary Programs throughout the year: Such as, but not limited to: Author Visits (In person & Virtual), Storytellers/Literary Presentations, Annual Book Fair, Accelerated Reading, Summer Reading, Etc. Seek input from administrators and teachers in program planning and collection development of print and non-print materials to enhance teaching and learning. Manage the organization, operations, facilities, and resources. Maximize use of resources. Promote a safe, legal, and effective learning environment. Collect and analyze data for continuous school improvement. Plan and implements the integration of technological and electronic tools in teaching, learning, management, research, and communication responsibilities. Plan Professional Development for all teachers & staff. Perform tasks as Register Me Live Coordinator. Carry out daily arrival & dismissal duties.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Educational Leadership or related field; Master's degree in educational leadership from an accredited college or university preferred. Minimum of three years' experience. Florida Department of Education certificate, Educational Leadership, temporary or professional required. Knowledge with iPad Applications and have a willingness to work with such technology. Demonstrated history of maintaining confidentiality concerning school matters. Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone. Good time management, including ability to manage several projects at the same time with accuracy. Knowledge of the Literacy First Framework. Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Good spelling and grammar are required. Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Good Spanish-language spoken communication skills are a plus. Must be fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Experience in a Roman Catholic environment. Must have a professional demeanor, including the dress code.
