The coach provides job-embedded professional development, models effective instructional strategies, analyzes student data, and collaborates with school leadership to strengthen teaching and learning across elementary grade levels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support the implementation of district curriculum and instructional initiatives for grades K-5. Coach and mentor teachers through classroom observations, modeling lessons, co-teaching, and reflective feedback sessions. Analyze assessment and student performance data to identify instructional needs and develop intervention strategies. Facilitate professional development workshops and teacher training sessions. Assist teachers with lesson planning, differentiated instruction, and classroom management strategies. Promote evidence-based instructional practices aligned with Florida standards and district goals. Collaborate with administrators to monitor instructional effectiveness and student achievement trends. Support

processes and intervention planning. Assist in the implementation of literacy, mathematics, science, and technology integration initiatives. Maintain current knowledge of curriculum trends, instructional technology, and educational best practices. Participate in faculty meetings, leadership meetings, and district trainings as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education required; Master's degree preferred. Valid Florida Educator Certificate in Elementary Education or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years successful classroom teaching experience. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and instructional strategies. Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and collaboration skills. Experience analyzing student achievement data and implementing instructional interventions. Knowledge of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and district instructional frameworks preferred. Preferred Skills Experience leading professional development. Knowledge of instructional technology platforms and educational data systems. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to build positive relationships with teachers, students, parents, and administrators. Work Environment Elementary school setting within Miami-Dade County Public Schools May require travel between classrooms or school sites for training and support activities. Salary & Benefits Salary is based on the district instructional salary schedule and experience level. M-DCPS instructional coaching and curriculum specialist positions in Miami typically fall within the professional instructional pay scale.
