In this role, you will serve as a vital catalyst for improving reading and writing skills across diverse learner populations. Your expertise will empower educators and learners alike through innovative instructional strategies, curriculum development, and the integration of cutting-edge learning technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on literacy outcomes while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Duties Design, develop, and implement engaging literacy curricula aligned with educational standards and learner needs using instructional design principles such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Provide coaching and professional development sessions for teachers on effective literacy instruction, classroom management, and the integration of learning technology tools like Blackboard and LMS platforms. Develop and deliver training modules utilizing SCORM-compliant content to ensure compatibility across various Learning Management Systems (LMS). Utilize adult education methodologies to support ongoing teacher training and student literacy programs, ensuring accessible and inclusive learning experiences. Create comprehensive content for workshops, online courses, and instructional materials using Adobe Captivate and other multimedia tools to enhance engagement. Collaborate with educators to adapt curriculum materials for diverse learners, incorporating best practices in classroom experience and presentation skills. Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis, feedback collection, and continuous improvement strategies to optimize literacy initiatives. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching literacy or language arts at various educational levels with a strong understanding of classroom dynamics. Expertise in instructional design models such as ADDIE and familiarity with SCORM standards for e-learning content development. Skilled in project management to coordinate multiple training sessions, curriculum updates, and technology integrations simultaneously. Proficiency with Blackboard LMS or similar learning management systems, including content development and course administration. Knowledge of adult education principles combined with excellent communication skills to facilitate effective training sessions. Experience with learning technology tools such as Adobe Captivate, SCORM packages, and other content creation software. Strong writing skills for developing clear instructional materials, assessments, and reports related to literacy programs.
