License and Certification Qualifications:
Valid Georgia teaching certification RequiredEarly Childhood certification PreferredCoaching endorsement required (can be obtained after employment)
Required Education Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s Degree in applicable field of education from a Professional Standards Commission (PSC) approved college or university RequiredMaster\'s Degree in a related field
Preferred Experience Qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for various tasks that support the development, revision, and implementation of best practices in teaching and learning and professional learning development and delivery, data collection and evaluation in the Pre-K setting to support overall student well-being and academic achievement. Develop and implement professional learning initiatives. Develop professional learning consistent with philosophy, goals, objectives, and needs of the district and the Office of Early Learning and School Readiness.

Provide professional learning for administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, and other appropriate personnel.

Provide coaching support for teachers on Pre-K and kindergarten readiness best practices and strategies with curriculum. Develop strategies and tools designed to support the academic achievement and well-being of all Pre-K students. Assist in the development of lesson plans, instructional calendars, extensions, and assessments for Pre-K.Facilitate staff development initiatives.

Utilize data to identify strengths and areas of need in student learning and teacher support in Pre-K.Work across curriculum and content areas to develop and support innovative approaches to teaching Pre-K students. Support local schools in the district with implementation of Pre-K strategies. Provide support to Local School Plans for Improvement (LSPI) as applicable to Pre-K learning and student well-being.

Provide support and assistance to administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, and other appropriate personnel who are supporting Pre-K and kindergarten readiness. Communicate to various internal and external audiences concerning best practices and information regarding Pre-K and kindergarten readiness. Interpret district and program philosophy, goals, and objectives to various audiences.

Share information to appropriate personnel regarding current research, knowledge, and trends regarding Pre-K and kindergarten readiness.

Partner and collaborate with other coaches and specialists supporting Pre-K and kindergarten readiness.

Partner and collaborate with Early Childhood Special Education staff. Provide student and teacher support as identified in Gwinnett County Public Schools\' strategic initiatives and priorities. Manage and promote Pre-K and kindergarten readiness best practices and resources.

Model instruction in classrooms as appropriate.
