Job Description
7-12 Technology / STEM Teacher Richard McKenna Public Charter High School Richard McKenna Public Charter High School, located in Mountain Home, Idaho, is seeking a full-time 7-12 Technology and/or STEM Teacher. This position is responsible for developing and delivering engaging, hands-on instruction that promotes student learning through project-based and experiential approaches. The program is designed to provide students with meaningful opportunities to deepen their understanding of technology and STEM concepts while building critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment while supporting the academic success and personal growth of all students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Idaho Educator License with a Technology Education endorsement.
- Candidates with certification in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science may also be considered.

- Understanding of the student population served, including awareness of how demographic factors may influence student achievement, and the ability to use this knowledge to design effective instruction.
- Ability to engage students in goal-setting, reflection, and ownership of their learning.
- Demonstrated content knowledge and instructional expertise in technology and/or STEM disciplines.
- Experience developing and implementing project-based learning (PBL) that promotes rigorous thinking and real-world problem-solving.
- Familiarity with instructional best practices including: o Backward design for curriculum and lesson planning o Differentiated instruction o Formative assessment to guide instruction and provide meaningful feedback to students
- Ability to serve as the first line of troubleshooting and basic repair for school technology systems and devices.
- Strong organizational, planning, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively integrate transferable skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity into classroom instruction.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional growth, including ongoing development of content knowledge, instructional strategies, and professional practice.
Pay:
