Summary:
Job Summary:
This position requires an individual with experience in program/project development, implementation, education, program assessment, and academic scholarship. This position will design, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for faculty and staff involved in basic, translational, and clinical research. This position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to identify education needs, select and develop appropriate instructional approaches and best practices, and evaluate and improve educational outcomes. This position will deliver onboarding, education, training, and continuing education programs for research. Exemplify the Rush mission, vision, and values, understand and embody the Rush culture, and act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Minimum 3 years' experience at a higher education and/or research entity. Experience in teaching roles. Experience in academic medical settings. Experience in adult education and instructional design, including delivery for multiple modalities (classroom, self-paced, virtual instructor-led, etc.). Experience in research settings. Familiarity with the United States Code of Federal Regulations and other ethical principles that guide clinical research. Knowledge of evaluation and research principles and methodologies, including needs assessment and outcomes assessment. Knowledge of program development, design thinking, and innovation and systems theory. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to work with faculty at each stage of their career and leadership. Excellent skills in writing, editing, and proofreading for clarity, accuracy, and conciseness. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Good prioritization and project management skills. Proven problem-solving skills. Good analytical skills and the ability to create logical recommendations. Evidence of initiative and follow-through. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience using consulting, negotiation, and influence skills. Strong sense of accountability. Initiative and creativity. Strong program management, instructional design, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated success working in a team environment on multiple projects with the ability to work both on a team (as member and/or leader) and independently and deliver results. Proven program administration skills, including organization, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results. Applied knowledge of measurement and program evaluation. Strong critical thinking skills. Strong sense of self and self-awareness, and willingness and ability to self-reflect and grow. Preferred Job Qualifications:

Support business and strategic planning for the development of comprehensive education programs. Develop, deliver, and coordinate Research Education programs and resources/materials for basic, translational, and clinical research faculty at all career stages, including onboarding, targeted education, ongoing training, and continuing education. Ensure Research Education programs that are consistent with relevant Institutional policies and standard operating procedures, local and Federal regulations, standards of required accrediting agencies (e.g., AAHRPP, etc.), and other relevant regulations and ethical principles related to research, protection, and rights of human subjects, etc. Develop and conduct ongoing periodic assessment of Research Education programs. Develop measures, benchmarks, and scholarships around the effectiveness of education programs. Develop pre
  • and post-learning evaluations to understand successes and improvement opportunities while establishing methods for ensuring both consistency and quality.
Collaborate with Director of Research Education and other Education Specialists, and other invested entities, on how to efficiently and effectively achieve desired educational outcomes; identifying current and future educational needs and any gaps in knowledge. Utilize any monitoring and/or audit findings to improve/develop education programs and assist faculty in preparing for regulatory audits. Maintain training records and tracking of metrics.
