Occasional driving to health education events. May require occasional lifting of objects up to 20lbs. Shift Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Occasional after hours and weekends for health education events. This position is not eligible for remote work at this time. Job Summary The ID Division is seeking a Health Education Coordinator for its health education team. This position will serve as part of the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Care Clinic (BCC) multidisciplinary HIV care team to provide intensive prevention services to patients identified as high-risk for contracting HIV. This position will be primarily responsible for the management of all pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) referrals, screenings, and program enrollment for individuals wishing to receive PrEP services at the BCC. This position will provide counseling and education to patients to reduce the risk of HIV transmission, improve health literacy, and help clients achieve better health outcomes. The Prevention Health Education Coordinator will coordinate services with the BCC providers to promote safe health behaviors and contribute to the Bluegrass Care Clinic's mission of providing quality services to high risk individuals throughout Kentucky. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
