SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides strategic leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of aprehensive K-12 Social Studies program. This role is responsible for articulating the vision, developing and refining the K-12 Social Studies program. This role ensures that social studies curriculum fosters civicpetence, historical thinking, and global awareness through an inquiry-based framework, shifting instruction from rote memorization to developing students' abilities to develop questions and disciplinary tools. This position will align planning to the district's strategic plan, all state and federal requirements, and will work closely with other departments across the district to ensure conce in support for schools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
