The ideal candidate will conduct intake assessments for individuals seeking substance abuse treatment services, determine appropriate levels of care, and provide support throughout the admissions process. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing substance use disorders.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive substance abuse and behavioral health assessments for prospective clients Complete intake screenings and gather psychosocial history information Determine eligibility and appropriate level of care based on clinical assessments Coordinate admissions and referrals for treatment services Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with clinical staff and treatment providers to ensure continuity of care Provide compassionate support and education to clients and families during the intake process

Qualifications:

Active Louisiana license required (LPC, LCSW) Experience in substance abuse treatment, behavioral health, or intake/admissions preferred Knowledge of ASAM criteria and treatment placement recommendations preferred Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
