Summer STE Curriculum Committee Positions (Gr 6-8 Science) Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District - 3.8 Bridgewater, MA Job Details Full-time $40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Middle school teaching Committee work Teacher collaboration Assessment-driven instruction Mid-level Needs assessment for curriculum design Working with middle schoolers Assessment instructional content development Standards-based curriculum development K-12 education instructional development Full Job Description The Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District is seeking five middle school Science teachers (Grades 6-8) to participate in a Summer STE Curriculum Committee focused on curriculum alignment, instructional planning, and assessment development for the 2026-2027 school year.
Committee Focus Areas:
Continue standards alignment work using the OpenSciEd MA progression Explore supplemental curriculum resources and teacher-created materials to support identified gaps in current curriculum Ensure instructional materials reflect district science instructional practices, including: phenomenon-based learning student discourse modeling investigations formative assessment evidence-based reasoning Develop common unit and end-of-year assessments across grade levels
Expected Outcome:
A primary goal of the committee will be the creation of common science assessments to support instructional consistency, equity, and collaboration across the district.
Additional Information:
Open to current Grades 6-8 Science teachers Summer work hours and meeting timeline to be determined Committee work may extend into the fall for continued collaboration and implementation support
