Job Summary As an MDE MnMTSS Specialist you will play a key role in supporting statewide implementation of Minnesota's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MnMTSS). You will collaborate with COMPASS teams, MDE divisions, regional partners, and district and charter school leaders to ensure cohesive, equity-focused guidance, professional learning, and technical assistance across the state. You will help align the work of all COMPASS teams including Tier I, literacy, math, data literacy, equitable access and school climate teams to the MnMTSS framework. You will also support the development of written guidance, tools, and professional learning; manage statewide implementation processes; coordinate district engagement; co-lead the statewide MnMTSS team; and serve as the Authorized Representative for MnMTSS grants.
Telework:
This position is eligible for hybrid telework. Employees living within 50 miles of the office location listed above will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month. Employees may reside outside the state of Minnesota if they live in a state bordering Minnesota and are within 50 miles of the primary work location. Existing employees who were approved to telework from a bordering state and more than 50 miles from their work location before June 1, 2025, may retain this arrangement unless they move farther away. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position. 5 years of professional experience in a PreK-12 School System OR A bachelor's or master's degree in Education and 4 years of professional experience in a PreK-12 School System Experience must include: Leading educators in implementation of MTSS Preferred Qualifications Experience serving in a district data or assessment leadership role Formal school or district leadership Experience designing and delivering professional development Experience implementing the Minnesota MTSS framework (MnMTSS) Additional Requirements A job offer will be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
