Aug 11, 2026 Job Description 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR The Rockwood School District is seeking an outstanding certified position of Secondary Literacy Implementation Coach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Serve as a 6-12 literacy implementation coach, partnering with teachers and administrators to strengthen standards-aligned, evidence-based literacy instruction Facilitate coaching cycles to improve instructional practice and student outcomes using effective, evidence-based literacy practices Collaborate with teachers and teams to design and implement instruction that develops students' reading, writing, and thinking across content areas Collaborate with building and district leadership to support alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment Provide job-embedded professional learning with follow-up support to ensure transfer into classroom practice Support teachers in analyzing student data and work to identify trends and make informed instructional decisions Promote equitable access to grade-level literacy through inclusive, asset-based instructional practices and appropriate scaffolding Build teacher capacity by fostering reflection, independence, and continuous improvement in instructional decision-making

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Missouri Certification in English Language Arts 5-9 or 9-12 Master's Degree in Education, Literacy, or Related Field A minimum of five years teaching experience Competitive salary and benefits If new to the district, start date is August 11, 2026.
