CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS
Master's in Education in Special Education or Masters in Education in related field Certification in School Psychological Examiner from the State of Missouri OR Certificate in School Psychology from the State of Missouri Education Specialist degree in School Psychology
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
At least 5 years teaching experience in special education Experience with administration and interpretation of intellectual and academic assessment tools (formal and informal) Experience with the compilation of Evaluation Reports Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail.

Director of Special Services
JOB GOAL
Assume responsibility for the direction, coordination, and supervision of special education and other program specific processes including child find, screening, evaluation, plan development, and placement to ensure: (1) appropriate identification and placement of students with or without disabilities, and (2) district compliance with state and federal requirements for the implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 and the Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
