Job Description

SISG Position 2: Security Specialist - Skill Level 3 (NGA St. Louis) (U)
Overall Assignment Description:
Security Education and Awareness (SEA) Specialist Duties may include: (U) Maintain a program that consistently brings security issues to the attention of the government. (U) Support training course administration to include; scheduling students for internal and external training, and customer service, including the granting of training credit and reciprocal credit (U) Maintain distribution list of customers for product inventories. (U) Support internal and external SEA events to include occasional CONUS travel. (U) Provide overall SEA program expertise. (U) Support execution of the Information Security Program (ISP) and Operations Security (OPSEC) Program. (U) Plan, coordinate, schedule and market the SEA Program both locally and regionally to include an annual security event at NGA Headquarters and major sites. Evaluate SEA program efficacy and make recommendations for improvement. Prepare and deliver SEA briefings and products (e.g., website content and computer- based training). (U) Assist the government SEA team and other SIS Divisions to determine the scope and direction of the Program. (U) Establish and maintain training relationships and networking with external government agencies. (U) Assist in the management of the SEA material inventory, ordering and tracking. (U) Support and monitor required training for NGA personnel to ensure that those who create or handle classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) have satisfactory knowledge and understanding of relevant categories and associated markings, as well as applicable safeguard dissemination, and decontrol policies and procedures. (U) Assist in the Development of policies to stipulate agency procedures, roles and responsibilities regarding the management of classified information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with EO 13556 and directives from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). (U) Support and execute the day-to-day program functions and operations
IAW E.O. 13526, E.O.
13556, Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and other ISP policy. (U) Support to the NGA and contractor personnel performing on classified efforts (at the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral levels) by providing approved classification guidance, release procedures and marking criteria. (U) Monitor and update existing policy and guidance to maintain accuracy, as appropriate
Skills and Experience:
Required:
(U) Demonstrate knowledge of the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community and security training policies in information security, operations security, and security education training. (U) Demonstrate six plus years of experience applying Executive Orders 12333,13526 and 13556, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 703 & 710, DoDM 5205.02, and DoD Manual 5200.01 standards to classified national security information, controlled unclassified information, operations security, and information security. Demonstrate six plus years of experience in briefing and training with effective written and oral communication skills.
Desired:
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) Demonstrated experience using online communication programs (such as Microsoft Teams)
