We are looking for a positive and energetic teacher for our acute Children's Unit. Responsibilities - What you'll do
Responsibilities :
Individualize instruction to meet student needs in a mixed placement, mixed ability classroom of 4-8 students. Revise, develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans. Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and treatment planning regarding students in your classroom. Model and teach social skills to the students in your classroom. Keep attendance and academic records and report on those records at specific times. Qualifications - All you need for success
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will have at minimum a bachelor's degree in education from an accredited university and have 4 years of post-baccalaureate teaching experience in a school accredited by a state approved governing agency. The candidate must possess a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Lifetime or Career Continuous Professional Certification (CCPC) not an area of special education. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Ability to write effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with limited assistance. A basic knowledge of Microsoft Products, especially Word and Excel Strong interpersonal skills. Effective time management skills. Reports to the Education Program Manager and the Chief of Clinical Services. Job Details - More reasons to love this position
