EDUCATION PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR
OFFICE
OF CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION
NON-STATE SERVICE
Salary Range:
$66,944.47 - $100,517.13 Salary will be negotiable and commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is seeking an Education Program Development Supervisor (K-12 Mathematics Director) for the Office of Curriculum and Instructions. The Education Program Development Supervisor will be responsible for informing and directing work, resources, and policies related to the implementation of the Mississippi College- and Career- Readiness Standards (MS CCRS) for Mathematics. The preferred candidate should have the following:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mathematics education.
  • Clear understanding of MS CCRS for Mathematics.
  • Experience in coordinating and delivering professional development for adults.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities, with demonstrated experience in project management and the coordination of efforts, resources and timelines of multiple staff or entities in completing a project on schedule and to standard.
  • Supervision and/or evaluation experience.
  • Excellent computer, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
SPECIAL EXPERIENCE
Employment must have been in an administrative, professional capacity in an area of work related to the functional responsibility of the unit in which the position exists. In those agencies where registered specialists provide the primary source of functional and technical knowledge for planning and accomplishing the mission of the agency, the incumbent must be registered and experienced in that profession. Work experience must have included supervising and coordinating a variety of functions. Where applicable, minimum requirements shall be sufficient to meet those stated in '49 4-15 of Mississippi Code 1972, Annotated.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
